The serious fire at Wang Fuk Court in Tai Po is distressing, and we wish peace to be with all affected individuals and rescue personnel.

Upholding the vision and mission of ‘Care that Cures’,  the Evangel Hospital is utilizing donations received from the community to fully fund emotional support services for affected individuals through our Psychological Assessment and Counselling Centre.

If you find yourself feeling emotionally unsettled due to information about the fire, you can refer to the following methods to alleviate your emotions:

1. Please temporarily refrain from watching and forwarding related videos, social media, and news.
2. Pay attention to the physical and mental responses of yourself and people around you.
3. Take good care of your physical and mental health; engage in breathing exercises if needed: slowly inhale and exhale through your nose and notice how the air enters and leaves your body. You may also try deeper and longer breaths, gradually adjusting your breathing until you start feeling calm, reminding yourself that you are in a safe environment and aware of your needs.
4. Seek community support and assistance when necessary.
