In Loving Memory: Honouring the Legacy and Service of Rev. Dr. Chapman

On 14 August, Evangel Hospital, together with the Evangelical Free Church of China (EFCC) and EFCC Elim Church, co-hosted a solemn yet heartwarming Memorial Service to give thanks for the lifelong dedication, selfless service, and beautiful footsteps of our founding missionary, Rev. Dr. Chapman.

The service brought together many former colleagues who served faithfully alongside Rev. Dr. Chapman, alongside church brothers and sisters, relatives, friends, and current hospital staff. Together, we sang hymns, listened to stories of his life, and watched a tribute video reflecting on his inspirational journey of love and faith. The room was filled with warmth, gratitude, and deep remembrance for the blessings he brought into every life he touched.

As one of the founders of Evangel Hospital, Rev. Dr. Chapman laid the bedrock and core values of our ministry through his medical excellence, compassionate care, and unwavering Christian faith. His professionalism and love for patients not only blessed countless individuals, but also profoundly influenced generations of healthcare professionals at our hospital.

May Rev. Dr. Chapman’s spirit continues to guide us as we serve our community with Christ-like love and professional excellence. Our heartfelt thanks to all colleagues, partners, and friends who joined us to honour his extraordinary legacy.
